Former U.S. Poet Laureate, Joy Harjo, member of the Muscogee Nation, is an internationally renowned poet whose numerous honors include the Bollingen Prize and the National Book Critics Circle Ivan Sandrof Lifetime Achievement Award. A chancellor of the Academy of American Poets, she is the inaugural Artist-in-Residence for the Bob Dylan Center and the author of eleven books of poetry, including her most recent, Weaving Sundown in a Scarlet Light.
